As though the tumultuous times are over,
yet another wave swept me off, colder
As though I'm bared to toes and heels
it's my heart that felt the chill.

The old saying goes,
what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger
Such blasphemy, for those who not know, boast,
For he who died on the cross has turned me better.

Thank you Lord for letting me be
substance and not just flesh.
